Adding fresh juices into your diet can greatly benefit your overall health and well-being BUT there is so much information out there, it can be confusing!
Here are my top tips on how to juice properly to get the results you want:
- Ensure your juice is mainly vegetables for maximum nutritional benefits! Too much sugar without the fibre can cause blood sugar and insulin levels to rapidly spike (which can result in fat storage).
- Juicing machines will normally take most of the fibre out of the juice – so in order to get the most benefit, put some of the pulp back into your cup!
- The best time to drink your juice is on an empty stomach, so your body can absorb the nutrients more quickly!
- When possible, try to add a tablespoon of coconut oil to your juice to ensure optimal absorption of fat soluble vitamins; A, D, E and K!
