I don’t do clutter.

I don’t do clutter.

Clutter makes me feel anxious.
I like it when everything has a place. It makes me feel calm and relaxed.

Decluttering is an important part of simplifying your life. Sometimes I wonder if that’s why so many people feel anxious, because I know I would if I lived surrounded by clutter.

Most people wouldn’t believe I moved to the US last year with two small carry-ons.

I’d probably describe myself as a luxury minimalist haha.
I love high-quality items (who doesn’t?), but I don’t need a lot.

I give away or sell things often that I no longer need or bring me joy.
When it comes to my living spaces, my closet, or my cabinets in my bathroom, I have nice things – just less and only things that I love.

I want a new designer bag? I sell a bag that no longer excites me. I do the same thing with clothes. I also choose timeless pieces that I can wear with almost anything, for years to come. Not only does it make me love everything in my closet, it saves me a lot of money as well.

I don’t have a lot of attachment to items. 9.9/10 I will choose experience over things. Quality > quantity.

I don’t let laundry pile up. Dishes are put away after I eat. Use a washcloth to wash my face? It goes in the used towel bin. When everything has a home, why would I put it anywhere else?

We have one small drawer for miscellaneous things, and we go through it pretty often. The fridge is set up in a way that I know what we need to eat first so that we don’t let anything go to waste.

There isn’t a designated cleaning day, if I see something, I just clean it up. It saves me time later.
It just seems normal to me.

To each their own, but I can’t tell you how good it feels to live in a clean, decluttered, simplified way.

It’s beautiful.
It’s peaceful.
It’s freeing.
