Working out during your menstrual cycle?

Believe it or not – One of the best times to actually do HIIT is during your period. When your period starts, your progesterone and estrogen levels drop, which means you will be better able utilize glycogen (stored carbohydrates). Basically, you’ll be able to push harder than any other time of the month as when estrogen levels are higher when we rely mainly on fat stores as our energy system.

I know that a lot of women would rather lay down/rest during their period, but doing HIIT is a great way to beat the bloat/water retention (hello sweating) and see what you’re capable of!
