I’m sure a lot of you know about the benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar when it comes to digestion, but did you know that it can also help prevent the onset of colds and the flu?!

How?

ACV helps to maintain a healthy pH balance within the body (being in an acidic state puts you at a greater risk of getting sick).

From reducing inflammation within the body to enhancing overall immune function –  ACV is a great addition to your daily regime when looking to achieve optimal health!

Simply put – Your cells need a slightly alkaline environment (ideally around 7.4) to properly circulate oxygen and remove cellular waste. 

I recommend adding 1 tbsp of Apple Cider Vinegar to a glass of water a couple times a day at the first sign of illness until the symptoms subside!

My top 3 favourite Apple Cider Vinegar recipes:

Apple Cider Vinegar Immune Boosting Beverage:

  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp raw honey
  • 1 slice of ginger
  • 1/2 clove of raw garlic
  • A couple dashes of cinnamon
  • 1.5 cups of green tea

Steep the green tea for 5 minutes. Remove tea bag and add in apple cider vinegar, raw honey, ginger, garlic and cinnamon!

Apple Cider Vinegar Salad Dressing: 

  • 3 tbsps of apple cup cider vinegar
  • 3 tbsps of extra virgin olive oil
  • The juice from 1/2 a fresh squeezed lemon

Whisk together apple cider vinegar and lemon juice. Slowly pour in extra virgin olive oil while whisking to emulsify. Add in pink himalayan salt and pepper to taste.

Apple Cider Vinegar Immune Boosting Beverage:

  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp raw honey
  • 1.5 cups freshly squeezed grapefruit juice

Mix all ingredients together and enjoy!
